What is the Public Solicitation Portal?
The Public Solicitation Portal (PSP) is a bid advertisement portal designed for municipal agencies to publicly advertise projects and inform vendors of upcoming and/or currently bidding projects.
For more information, including the list of agencies that advertise on the Public Solicitation Portal, please visit the homepage by clicking on ‘Home’.
How do I register and/or login?
The Public Solicitation Portal is open for the public to view at any time and is free of charge. A registration/login is not required. However, if you choose to bid on any of the advertised projects, you may be required to create a free vendor profile with the agency's Vendor Portal (if not already registered).
How do I obtain more information about a project advertised in the PSP?
The Bid Detail page accessed by clicking on a project from the Search results contains limited information about the project. If you’re interested in learning more about a project, review the ‘Description and Scope’ section for instructions and/or links to the project.
Bid Advertisements from agencies that use the PlanetBids system for Vendor and Bid Management contain a link at the bottom of the Bid Detail page that directs you to the full bid. Click on the ‘View Bid Detail in Portal’ link to view Line Items, Download Bid Documents, Order Hard Copy Plans, become a Prospective Bidder, view Addenda, Place eBid, etc. when applicable.
If you still have questions, please contact the individual listed in the ‘Contact Info’ section.
Why can I no longer see a project?
Agencies are able to remove projects from the PSP at any time, for a number of reasons. If you have any questions regarding a project, please contact the agency directly.
Why do some advertisements have a ‘View Bid Detail in Portal’ link while others don't?
Bid Advertisements from agencies that use the PlanetBids system for Vendor and Bid Management contain a link at the bottom of the Bid Detail page that directs you to the full bid where more information and documents can be obtained.
Agencies that do not use the PlanetBids system for Vendor and Bid Management provide information/links to the project in the Description and Scope section.
Who do I contact if I have questions?
If you have questions regarding a projected advertised in the Public Solicitation Portal, please contact the individual listed in the ‘Contact Info’ section.
For technical assistance, please contact PlanetBids by opening a support ticket.
